Job Function and Purpose

The function of this position is to implement marketing, branding, promotion programs in addition to related activities to ensure that products and services are effectively communicated to customers.

Nature and Scope

The Senior Marketing Specialist reports to the Client Services Manager.

This position may have junior level marketing employees as direct reports and works closely with the sales team, product managers, customer service manager and some members of the executive team.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute advertising campaigns

  • Produce and or manage all marketing materials, targeted emails, bibliography, website (content, accuracy, & SEO); manage outside designers and printers

  • Provide sales team support regarding SFDC and Hubspot

  • Oversee logistics for trade shows and webinars

  • Manage external communication process including Hubspot/Inbound marketing

  • Manage social media campaigns (LinkedIn, Blog, Facebook, Twitter)

  • Maintain, organize and generate marketing/forecasting reports from the customer database

  • Lead bi-weekly marketing meeting, assist with annual sales meeting

  • Help conduct primary market research

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a life sciences field

  • 2-5 years of relevant marketing experience in the biotechnology field

  • Proven skills in organization, management and communication

  • Self-directed, strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft office applications
